Ci Ning Garden, is derived from kindness (Ci) and tranquility (Ning). A towering statue of Guanyin oversees the garden, similar to the Guanyin at the Purple Bamboo garden in Nan Hai. What sets this apart from the rest is that the Ci Ning Garden is built on higher ground. Nearby, a wide platform enables you to overlook the Ancient Town of Jiangnan and take in the outstanding lake view that allows one to reminisce the past at one’s own pace. The Ci Ning Garden is similar to the Ci Ning Palace where the empress dowager lived in ancient times, noble and serene, whilst located on elevated ground. 

In order to ensure Ci Ning Garden is worthy of its name, the materials incorporated in its various buildings are of finest stone. The Ci Ning Garden is not only as serene and tranquil as the purple bamboo forest where Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Great Compassion is located; it is also as noble and elegant as the empress dowagers of past dynasties. This exceptional atmosphere catapults the predecessors’ momentum in the same direction.
